Computerised Implant Planning
For complex cases where precision is everything, we have the facility to plan your implant surgery on computer prior to undertakingit. This is especially useful in situations where the amount of bone is limited or important anatomical structures such as the inferior alveolar nerve (the nerve running through the jawbone on both sides) are close to the proposed implant positions.A CT scan is required to ascertain the exact bone availability and the scan data is then read by computer and the final position of the implants planned. This planning is then converted into a drilling guide which allows the placement of the implants into the exact position that they were planned on the computer screen.
